Subject and Lecturer Evaluations - Radiographic Practice III (2009)
These evaluations are part of the institution’s quality assurance mechanisms to monitor learning and teaching. I usually enjoy positive responses from students and value them as they validate my teaching agenda. All ‘negative’ responses are equally valued and changes are effected, if appropriate. I continuously evolve my teaching to making it more student centred and ‘student friendly’ I have included samples for different subjects across the last 3 years. The reports are important in the overall analyse, but personally, I find that the students comments have more meaning for me.
As can be seen on the profile report, all students agree positively about the lecturer, in terms of all the criteria. There were no comments attached. The subject evaluation does show a concern about workload in this subject. Although the workload is acceptable, a possible explanation is the very limited times spent at DUT for lectures, while about 50% of the year is spent in WIL. This group of students also seems to have the same challenges as the level 2 students.
