As I evolved my teaching, it was important to determine its effect on learning. The quality of my teaching is very important to me. So, my ears are constantly on the ground to listen to my students. Randomly, I would ask the different student groups to reflect on and evaluate the teaching strategies and styles that they experience in my classrooms and how its impact on their learning.
Additionally, as part of the quality assurance at DUT, students according to department and faculty schedules complete subject and lecturer evaluations. Appropriate feedback is given to the students based on their input and adjustments are made, where relevant.
